Often I remind you how important it is to use relaxation therapy until you have a reliable, dependable relaxation response at your fingertips.  Yes, it is imperative that you have the ability to achieve a calm and still state so your body and nerves can receive the healthy energy you need from the outside world.

However, relaxation is not enough.

You also need to be able to get fully excited in your whole body.

You must get excited in order to charge your bodily systems with positive, vital energy.  Getting excited is what gives your body the fuel it needs to reach holistic health.  Daily doses of vital energy are essential if you want to achieve good mental health and physical strength.

However, one of the obstacles I have noticed over the 36 years I have been helping people is that many are afraid of getting excited.  As people go through the transformation process toward self-actualization, they get stuck because they do not want to get turned on and passionate about anything. It is too scary.

Take inventory of yourself.

Are you comfortable when you get excited?
Do you ignore your passions?
Are you afraid to let go of control?
Do your desires scare you?

Depression is the opposite of excitement.  Are you so afraid of your passions and excitement that you depress your energy?

Anxiety is what you feel as you become excited.  Are you able to move pass your irrational thoughts, Killjoy Monsters and Inner Critics to the open free vibrant moments of being alive?

If you want holistic health, you must allow yourself to get fully excited. When you are excited, you feel tingles of energy moving through your body.  You get goosebumps as your skin and nervous system respond to the pleasurable energy being received.

When you experience goosebumps, you are living in a vibrant moment.  Vibrant moments are full of strong, emotional energy. This potent energy automatically gives you holistic health. Happiness is the natural side effect you receive because it feels so good to be alive and full of energy.

Spring energy is exciting, fun and joyful.

In the Northern Hemisphere, use the spring energy all around you to fuel your fire so you get excited.  In the Southern Hemisphere, use your imagination to fuel your fire for holistic health.

How many times a day do you say kind things to your body?
Do you check in daily to see what your emotional self needs?

If you ignore, reject and hate your body, you will get one set of results. If you love your body and take care of it, you will get another set of results.

If you hate your emotions when they surface and wish you did not feel that way, you will get one set of results.  If you take positive actions as a result of the vital information you receive from your emotional self, you will get another set of results.

Health and wellness are not accidents. Disease and sickness do not occur as random acts of probability.  Health and wellness are direct results of certain well-defined factors.
One of the most important factors, and a factor that you have complete mastery over is how much you love yourself.

If you listen to your emotions, you will discover exactly what you need to do differently in order to meet your emotional needs. If you don’t meet your emotional needs, there is no way you can achieve health and wellness or happiness and self-actualization.

Loving yourself is often considered hokey, unfashionable, silly or down right sinful.  Yes, most religions and many judgmental parents teach you to hate your body and ignore your emotional needs.

“How can you teach body language skills to someone on the
phone?” a member of my mentoring group asked.

I was a bit taken aback at this question.  However, after
a few seconds, I realized she was thinking that you could not
learn to SEE something in a medium where there is nothing
visual.  Perhaps you are also thinking it would be difficult
to teach body language on the phone for this reason.

Consider the fact that you have inner vision which you can use
at any time, anywhere for many things.  You can imagine,
remember and look to see what is there.  You can look to see
what was there, is there or could be there with your eyes
closed.

If I had to pick just one human potential skill that is
underutilized it would be your inner vision.

The US military had a project called Stargate, which used
remote viewing from the 1970s through 1995.  Remote viewing is
the ability to see without looking.  As we evolve we will be
learning how to use our inner vision to know much and do much.

For now, you can use your inner vision to learn body language.
So for the first class in body language you will be using your
inner vision, along with your body awareness and other senses
to see and feel the material I will teaching you.

After the class you will go out into the world with new eyes
and new ways of looking at people.  You will begin to notice
how people move through space.  You will see many things you
have never noticed before.

You will have fun as you begin to see with your eyes and senses
open.  You will observe the multitudes of non-verbal
communications that are bouncing all around you.  And if you do
know someone who is blind they probably already know how to
read body language without looking.

A reporter sent me a series of questions to answer on the
physical effects of falling in and out of love for an article
she was writing.

One of her questions was, “What exactly causes the
“butterflies” and “sweaty palms” when people fall in love?
Is that real or not?”

My answer:

“Yes, these physical experiences are real. Your body reacts
to everything that is going on inside and outside of you all
the time. Your body is the best barometer you have for knowing
what is really happening in physical reality.”

For example, “butterflies” and “sweaty palms” occur when you
are anxious.  These physical effects often happen to you before
you give a speech, when you are in a new situation, when you are
in an airplane and so on.

What you need to know is the feeling of love is not causing your
physical reactions of anxiety.  It is most important to sort out
the difference between love and the fear of love.

It is your fear of love that causes you to have butterflies in
your stomach.

Your fears of intimacy cause you to experience sweaty palms.
You may feel insecure about the possibility of falling in love.
Perhaps you are afraid of being vulnerable and open.

You are thinking thoughts like this:
“Does she like me as much as I like her?”
“Oh no! I will get hurt if I fall in love.”
“I can’t let him know how much I like him. He will run away.”

When you are in love your body reacts very differently.

You are feeling love and not thinking anything. Your body is
relaxed, open and soft when it is in the energy of love.

Real love makes you feel secure, accepted and calm. You are glad
to have a person to love and be loved by.

If you are afraid of love, now is the time to learn how to face
your fears and overcome your anxiety.   It will be good for your
mental health, emotional health and physical health to learn how
to spend more time in the physical state of love.

PROFESSIONALS:  If you are not using body awareness and its
physical truths in your work, you are not using the most powerful
tools you have to help your clients transform their fear and anxiety
energy into love energy.  Engage in continuing education to learn
how to include the body and its truths in your psychological work.

PARENTS:  Make sure you get back in your own body so you can model
healthy loving behaviors for your children instead of anxious,
fearful behaviors.  Help your children keep their body self-esteem
as they grow up by allowing them to play freely with their whole
body and spend lots of time outdoors every day.

What does it take for you to be genuinely happy and healthy?
What is the essence of what you need to know to be effective?

In 2002 at a conference in Mankato, a woman came up to say
hello to me after my workshop, “New and Exciting Ways to
Heal Your Mind and Body.” I did not recognize her.  She
reminded me that she was a client I had worked with 20 years
earlier in Philadelphia!

After our enthusiastic hugs, she offered to tell me the one
thing that had helped her the most that she learned from our
work together. Quickly, I shook my head, eager to hear this

between how power feels in my body and how control feels in my body.

Wow! In the early 1980’s, when this woman was my client, I
was just beginning to develop my new body-emotional-energy

Breaking away from the traditional models of psychology had
been difficult and scary all along the way for me. So her words
were like music to my ears.

Her feedback reveals the essence of what you need to learn in
order to become powerful and effective.

You need to know the difference between control and power. Then
you need to be able to feel this difference in your own body.

You need to know what control feels like in your body because it
is unhealthy for you.  No matter what you think, say or do,
controlling energy is stagnant.  Stagnant energy makes you miserable
and sick.

You also need to know what real power feels like in your body
because it is healthy for you. Power is flowing energy. Flowing
energy, no matter what you think, say or do, makes you healthy
and happy.

Being able to sense and feel this difference, puts the healthy part
of you in the driver’s seat. The unhealthy part of you, cannot fool
you any more.

If you are a psychologist, massage therapist or coach: Learn the
difference between control and power. Then learn to feel this
difference in your own body. Soon, you will not be fooled by your
clients’ reactions, defensiveness and manipulations.  Otherwise, you
may react to your clients’ control issues and get entangled in
unhealthy relationship dynamics.

If you are a parent: Wouldn’t it be great if you could teach your
child to know what is healthy for her and what is not healthy for
her by how it feels in her own body? Her self esteem would skyrocket.
Children learn by modeling your behavior. Show them the way.

My current class has been so much fun,
two men and two women.

Men are not usually so abundant so it has been a joy
to interact with their sensitive nature and teach men
how to relax and feel safe.

The classes are small to make sure you get the mind body
tools you need to succeed. You can use these tools
for the rest of your life. Then you can stop anxiety
attacks, chill out, relax and enjoy life more whenever
you want to. Get in the drivers seat, pull over and
stop for a breath.

New Class is forming. Anxiety Natural class is
like an intro to my approach or to your own Personal Self Help Success.
