What color do you need the most?

As a highly sensitive person with a great deal of emotional intelligence, I tune into colors more than any other vibrations. Give me the right color and I will follow you anywhere! Or, buy anything from you. Yes, I walk away from many products due to the boring colors offered.

What about you? Do you resonate with color? Or perhaps, you do not even notice the colors you wear, the colors you see, or the colors you need? Colors can brighten up your world and add MORE than spice to your life.

With the cold weather still hanging around here on the East coast, you may need encouragement to give up your depressed winter energy. To give up your depression you must take action on something healthy and vibrant to get your energy moving. Color Therapy is a lovely way to get your energy excited.

Color Therapy Exercise

Close your eyes and ask your body what color it needs. See what color comes to you. You may see the needed color streaming through your inner vision, hear the name of the color spoken out loud, or maybe your intuitive self gives you the information in yet another format.

If no color seems to stand out, use white. White has all the colors in it and is always a safe bundle of vibrations to use in Color Therapy. Anyway, once you start to do Color Therapy exercises the colors may change on you. This is normal, let your Intuitive Self be in charge. You cannot think or deduct your way to increased healthy energy.

Take three deep, belly breaths to relax and slow down your brain and nervous system. Make your breaths slow and deep, like you did when you were a baby, without thinking about what you are doing. Three deep breaths are enough to get you in Alpha brain waves.

With your eyes still closed, visualize the color your body says it needs in a small cloud in front of your eyes. Slowly breathe in the cloud of color into your nose and send it down to the bottom of your spine. Hold your breath for a few seconds while at the bottom of your spine. Next, slowly exhale the color cloud. Notice what color the cloud is when it leaves your body.

The color you need and how clear the color is when it comes out gives you helpful information about your health and wellness.

Walking is wonderful. However, sometimes you need a physical act that is shorter, quicker, easier, and more convenient. So, continue creating safe, anxiety-free ACE’s to use when your energy becomes inert and you need more power.

Yesterday, in the women’s locker room of the Glenwood Springs Hot Pool, I was sitting on the bench, lathering on lots of lotion, (the air is so dry in Colorado you do not need to ever close the bag on your potato chips!) A new friend of mine was on my right, putting on her clothes, silently observing a first time visitor, who was getting help from me about how to handle her towel so she did not get it wet before she needed it to shower and how to lock her locker. She was on my left.

My towel advice was invaluable and much appreciated. The instructions about locking her locker were correct, nevertheless, the first time visitor’s money got stuck in the locker anyway. This led to a discussion among the three of us about the reason we even have to lock our possessions away from each other.

My new friend told a story about someone taking her old towel and a cheap shirt from her unlocked locker once. “I cannot understand why anyone would steal worthless items such as this from me.” I empathized and agreed with her, sincerely.

We both turned to look at the first time visitor. She was kicking the locker door vigorously, especially for her small size, to shake her money out. She suddenly stopped and said, “I am sure they just reached in and took everything without even looking at what they had!” Her quarters had not popped out, so she turned and walked out of the locker room in her black swimsuit, heading to the office to get her money back.

My new friend looked at me with an earnest expression on her face and gently said, “I never thought about that. Never once. She is probably right, they just grabbed everything without examining it. I have spent all this time searching for the reason someone would take things that were important to me but not valuable to them. Wow!”

I looked directly into her eyes, “That’s great. I never looked at it that way either.” After a moment of silent pondering between us, I continued, “This is the reason we need to hang out with each other more often and share our experiences. We get a completely new take on the situation.”

Tis true. Connecting, sharing, being close and intimate with others makes you more powerful, effective, and stronger. That is, if you are open to the new information and not shutting reality out by being closed and defensive. A new way of looking at your reality is one of the major benefits of working in groups.

I always know when I am depressing my energy when I do not listen to music. The lack of music around me is a red flag that tells me I need to be vibrating a bit higher! You also need red flags that reveal you have dropped down into some degree of depression. You need to know when you are depressing your energy and you need to know how to increase your vibration.

I developed the ACE several years ago to help people who are stuck in depression. Depression is a numb, mental psychological state where you do not move. Depressed energy is heavy, dense, slow, black, dark, and yucky. The laws of physics take over, as they always do … and you do not move your body. You do not want to move your body. You are inert.

The laws of physics tell you that it takes an equal or greater force to move an inert object. Viola! If you want to give up your depression you must use the ACE. The ACE is an Active Conscious Effort. When you have no energy, which is the same thing as no power, you must get power from somewhere. So, use the ACE, make yourself move in some, little, successful way.

You must choose something that has an equal or greater force for you. In other words, your ACE must be totally safe, easy to do and have no anxiety involved at all. If there is any degree of anxiety, you will not do it. Your ACE must be doable. Even desirable. So choose your ACE carefully so that it is effective in moving your energy.

When I am inert, I get up and wash clothes. Or, put on some music. Or, take a walk. Or, anything that is physical. Interesting, the only depression treatment that is known to be effective, based on solid research, is physical activity. Tis true. Psychologists who do not use the laws of physics with their clients are missing the New Psychology boat.
