Do you trust your feelings?
Do you know what you are feeling?

Dr. Daryl J. Bem recently published in the Journal of
Personality and Social Psychology an interesting study
called “Feeling the Future: Experimental Evidence for
Anomalous Retroactive Influences on Cognition and Affect.”

In his nine experiments at Cornell, with over 10000
subjects, people were able to feel the future before it
happened. The data showed that people were correct too
often to attribute it to coincidence.  Dr. Bem was a
skeptic about parapsychology before he conducted his
well-designed experiments.

What caught my attention was the fact that he used the
word feeling. Usually people do not think of precognition
or telepathy as feeling. Yet, in reality, feelings are
the means by which people know many truths.

Science is catching up with us feelers.

I have been known to say that the major reason humans are
off-track in mind or body is due to the simple fact that
they are putting all their energy into avoiding their
feelings.

Wouldn’t it be easier and a lot more fun to feel your
feelings?

If you feel your feelings, you will be able to avoid
dangerous situations and embrace and enjoy safe situations.

Feelers easily avoid unsafe people and embrace and
enjoy loving people.

Often people do not get help with their love relationship
problems until it is too late.  So the relationship ends
in a divorce or a break up.

The major reason love relationships end in a divorce or
a break up is because one or both of the people stop
growing.

For example, a client of mine was working on her anxiety
attacks and her husband would not participate.  She was
becoming more relaxed and he was not. She was becoming
more assertive. He was not. She was getting stronger.
He was not.

The relationship ended in a divorce because he did not
do anything to improve himself.

If he had learned to relax and become more assertive,
the relationship would have flourished.

The solution to healthy love relationships seems so simple
and reasonable.  However, so many people choose to suffer
great pain instead of improving their emotional and mental
health.

It is a given that your past learning issues will surface
in love relationships and cause you problems. There is no
way to avoid this reality.

Therefore, you can engage in personal growth while you are
in your love relationship or you can wait until you get a
divorce or break up with your partner.

The action you need to take is the same. You need to become
more loving, self-confident and emotionally secure.

To achieve these goals, you need to learn to reduce your
anxiety, become more assertive, love your emotional self
and open your heart.

After a divorce or break up you are in great pain.  This
emotional pain is the gift that can help you grow.  If
you engage in positive self-improvement behaviors, you
will not repeat the same pain again in your next love
relationship.

Therefore, if you are in or out of a love relationship,
be brave.  Learn to relax, become more assertive, love
your emotional self and open your heart.

The end result is that you will be stronger.  So, no
matter what others choose to do, you will be enjoying
colorful, vibrant moments of being alive.

Have you tried to attract more money using the law of
attraction and failed?

Have you tried to use the secrets in the “Secret‚” to

The first step in manifestation is to use your intention.
This means you set your mind on your goal.  Thus, you
intend to attract money.  You intend to attract a
healthy, loving relationship.

However intention is not enough. The reason intention is
not enough is because other factors can easily render
your intentions impotent.

For example, there are many psychological issues that
can stop you from manifesting your dreams.  As I moved
through life, I become more and more conscious of how I

unworthy to have lots of money.

Whenever I received a lot of money, I felt guilty and
like I was doing something wrong.  Guilt will certainly
stop you from manifesting more money!

You may not be aware of the psychological issues inside
of you. However, if you look, you will find your
psychological issues in your unconscious.  Your
unconscious is full of all the thoughts, feelings and
emotions that were unacceptable to your conscious mind.

This means the inner psychological work you need to do is
diving into your unconscious and coming up with the truth
about how you really feel about yourself and money.

You cannot override your anxieties, doubts, judgments and
false beliefs without bringing them to your conscious mind.
Otherwise, these energies render your intentions impotent
on a daily basis.

Once you bring your truths to the light of your conscious
mind, then you need to learn how to let go of your
anxieties, doubts, judgments and false beliefs so your
intentions can manifest.

Money, Money, Money

Do you think you have enough money?
Or are you scared to lose the money you have?

There are two major ways of thinking about money. You
can engage in poverty thinking or prosperity thinking.

Poverty thinking is when you never have enough money.
You may have millions yet you are anxious of losing your
money. You cannot relax and enjoy your money. You are
always poor. You have anxious thoughts.

Prosperity thinking is when you have enough money.  No
matter how much money you have, you always have enough
money.  You know you can get more money from whence you
got money before.  So you relax and enjoy life when you
have hundreds and when you have millions. You are always
rich because you trust your relationship with money.

Which type of person are you? A poverty thinker or a
prosperity thinker?

If you want to relax and enjoy life, you need to develop
more and more prosperity thinking.  Otherwise, you will
be an anxious millionaire and miss all the fun.

Money is energy. No more and no less. Money manifestation
is like manifesting your dreams. If you want to know how
to get rich, take these four steps.

You need to:
1. Use more of your human potential.
2. Clear the path so money can arrive. (This means
removing your psychological blocks to being rich
and satisfied.)
3. Allow the money you have to flow and grow.
4. Appreciate and enjoy the money you already have.

How much pressure do you feel to stay within your gender?
How much pressure do you feel to relate “correctly” to
another person’s child, based on gender?

The story of the Canadian parents who do not want to
pressure their child into a specific gender-based
identity has created a fury of energy around the globe.

Notice the energy in the media. Notice the energy in the
parents. Notice the energy in you.

Can you tell when energy is too fast, full of static and
judgmental? Energy that is too fast, full of static and
judgmental is anxious energy. Anxious energy is not healthy
energy.

The idea of a “gender-neutral baby” or “genderless baby”
has tapped into the high anxiety people have en masse
around the world about sex and gender.

If you are upset at not knowing the gender of a baby, you
are probably anxious.  If you are upset at not knowing the
gender of an adult, you are probably anxious.

Your anxiety shows you how controlled you are by gender.
The fast, racy energy in your nervous system reveals how
much pressure you feel to behave a certain way based on
gender.

Most people do get extremely anxious when they do not know
the gender of a person. This is the reason the parents of
Storm Stocker want a gender-neutral or genderless baby.

The mother of Storm Stocker has seen the consequences of
this strong, bullying pressure to be something that you are
not.  She says, “All my life I’ve worked in the field of
abuse and violence prevention.” Abuse and violence are one
of the ways parents control their children.

Upper class, socialized parents use more subtle behaviors
such as bullying, shaming and humiliating their child into
appropriate gender-based roles.

The pressure to behave a certain way based on gender is
controlling, inhibiting and unhealthy. Most mental health
labels and emotional problems would disappear if
professionals, parents and governments did not succeed in
controlling children based on gender.

I admire any parent who is willing to raise a free and
healthy child.  I support and encourage all parents to give
up controlling your children and pressuring them into
narrowly defined, inhibited identities.

To be healthy, the future parenting needs to move toward a
gender-neutral baby or genderless baby position.  Good
parenting involves protecting your child from any pressure
and control.

If parents, professionals and governments took a
“gender-neutral baby” or “genderless baby” position,
many current human problems would be solved.

For example, the anxious judgments against women,
homosexuals and transgender humans would disappear.
Suddenly, the world would be a much safer, happier place
to live for all of us.

Storm Stocker’s mother is not trying to keep anything a
secret; she is trying to raise a healthy and free human
being. She does not want to pressure and control her child.

Her open and loving position is healthy. Your child needs
your love, no matter what color they like to wear, what
physical activities they prefer and how tender their
emotional expressions.

You need self-love, no matter what you feel or how you
express yourself. You need both your male and female
qualities to survive in this world.

The more androgynous you become, the more relaxed and
comfortable you will be with yourself.  This means you accept
and love your gender without controlling yourself to be
someone you are not.

from abuse, shame and embarrassment.

I think it is strange that people rush to get physical
check ups once a year but they do not get a mental check up.

You need a mental health checkup because your mind creates
the problems in your life, including the physical problems.

When your mental health is not good, the quality of your
life is not good. You experience poor health, poor
relationships, poor quality of life.

Here are some questions to assist you in checking up on
your mental health.

Answer these questions honestly with either a “Yes,”
“Sometimes” or “No.”

1. I am happy and excited to get up in the morning and
go to work.
2. I relax my body and rest several times a day, throughout
the day. (This does not include watching TV, reading
or computer time.)
3. I do not think the same thought more than three times.
4. I know what I am feeling in the moment.
5. I can express what I am feeling to others.
6. I move around freely and am physically active during
the day.
7. I am aware of my physical surroundings and feel
connected to these realities throughout the day.
8. I have a purpose and am fulfilling it.
9. I am comfortable with others in silence.
10. I am comfortable with myself in silence.
11. I am a conscious breather and notice when I stop
breathing fully into my belly.
12. I am comfortable being excited and animated.
I3. I am spontaneous and free.
14. I experience full body vibrant moments at least
twice a week.

For each “Yes,” give yourself a 1, for each “Sometimes”
a 2, for each “No” a 3. Add them up for your total.

Look below and get your results.

14-19—You have a High Quality of Life and Good Mental
Health, you probably are actively engaged in self
improvement.
20-25—You are moving toward life and need to amp up the
areas where you notice yourself missing out.
26-30—You are missing out on many vibrant moments of
living.  Your life is lackluster, ordinary and mundane.
31-37—You are moving away from life and need to become
more aware and alive.
38- 42 —Your Quality of Life and Mental Health needs
serious improvement.

Take one of the questions you answered “No” to and
begin to shift it into a “Sometime.”  To be successful,
you need to use a skillful holistic psychologist, coach,
mentor, or teacher who can teach you new skills which will
increase your body and energy awareness.

If you are a psychologist, physician, massage therapist or coach:
Pay attention to your own mind and how it causes problems in
your life. Notice how your thoughts control and inhibit
your vibrant moments.  Then notice how your clients let
their mind dominate their lives. Help them expand their
self-concept beyond their mind.

If you are a parent: Never underestimate how your mental
health affects your children. Notice your mind and how you
use it to control yourself and your children. An unhealthy
mind can quickly destroy a happy family outing.

You have the power and ability to prevent poor health,
poor relationships and poor quality of life by improving
your mental health.

Get a mental health check up and follow through with
effective actions.

What does it take for you to be genuinely happy and healthy?
What is the essence of what you need to know to be effective?

In 2002 at a conference in Mankato, a woman came up to say
hello to me after my workshop, “New and Exciting Ways to
Heal Your Mind and Body.” I did not recognize her.  She
reminded me that she was a client I had worked with 20 years
earlier in Philadelphia!

After our enthusiastic hugs, she offered to tell me the one
thing that had helped her the most that she learned from our
work together. Quickly, I shook my head, eager to hear this
precious gift of feedback.

She touched her heart and said, “You taught me the difference
between how power feels in my body and how control feels in my body.
I use it to this day to know the difference.”

Wow! In the early 1980’s, when this woman was my client, I
was just beginning to develop my new body-emotional-energy
approach.  This was the best outcome data I could have
received.

Breaking away from the traditional models of psychology had
been difficult and scary all along the way for me. So her words
were like music to my ears.

Her feedback reveals the essence of what you need to learn in
order to become powerful and effective.

You need to know the difference between control and power. Then
you need to be able to feel this difference in your own body.

You need to know what control feels like in your body because it
is unhealthy for you.  No matter what you think, say or do,
controlling energy is stagnant.  Stagnant energy makes you miserable
and sick.

You also need to know what real power feels like in your body
because it is healthy for you. Power is flowing energy. Flowing
energy, no matter what you think, say or do, makes you healthy
and happy.

Being able to sense and feel this difference, puts the healthy part
of you in the driver’s seat. The unhealthy part of you, cannot fool
you any more.

If you are a psychologist, massage therapist or coach: Learn the
difference between control and power. Then learn to feel this
difference in your own body. Soon, you will not be fooled by your
clients’ reactions, defensiveness and manipulations.  Otherwise, you
may react to your clients’ control issues and get entangled in
unhealthy relationship dynamics.

If you are a parent: Wouldn’t it be great if you could teach your
child to know what is healthy for her and what is not healthy for
her by how it feels in her own body? Her self esteem would skyrocket.

The mind is a funny thing. It can be brilliant or it can
be deadly.

If you do not tame your thoughts and bring them into
balance with your body, heart and soul, your brain can
scare you to death. It can also obsess about nonsense,
create misery and keep you totally out of the moment.

One single thought can give your whole body and nervous
system a serious shock. I would say the voltage of one
thought I had this week while standing at my kitchen window
was stronger than the electric shock I used to get when I
touched the electric cow fence on my farm as a child by
mistake.

Honestly, I cannot even remember exactly what the thought
was, but it was not pretty, loving or kind. It shocked me
right out of the moment. I noticed the shock to my nervous
system and brought myself back into the physical. So I was
back to breathing and feeling in seconds.

However, this shocking experience reminded me of the strength,
power and energy of my thoughts. I know how outside factors
affect my mind so I do not watch television and I am very
careful of the movie images I feed it.

However, since the Japanese earthquake I have been reading
the online news more than usual. In addition, with Bin
Laden’s dramatic death there are many images of violence
around me.

The thought that flashed without invitation in my mind seemed
to be a creative take off of some of these scenes I had been
looking at online. Our minds are powerful AND creative!

If you are a parent:  Notice your own thoughts and how they
affect you and your child. Also know that your children are
affected by the images they see in the news, television,
movies and games.

If you are a psychologist, massage therapist or coach:  Do not
encourage obsessive thinking with your clients.  When you let
your clients talk and talk about the same thing you are
reinforcing this behavior and making sure they obsess. Instead,
help your clients sense the energy of their obsessions. Teach
them to sense the energy of their thoughts as separate from
their feelings. Then teach them how to stop repeating the same
thoughts over and over again.

Spring clean your mind by getting rid of rotten thoughts that
have accumulated over the winter and years. It will
free up more room for health and happiness.

Here are some thoughts about when a soul decides
to leave the material confines of the body and earth.

What I suggest may be true and it may not be true.
However keep an open mind and see if it fits you
and your experience.

I am comforted by the thought that the soul does make
the decision when to pass over and that nothing is a true
accident. The result is, I can relax and let my soul lead
the way.

My focus changes, my job is not to fret or be scared about
when I am going to pass over. Nope, my job is to listen
to my soul and follow.

So how do you listen to your soul?

Emotions are the pathway to your soul. Last week I was
sad about other people passing over. Sadness is a soul
quality, it is not depression. Sadness is a real emotion
that feeds the soul and makes life deep, rich and
meaningful.

The closest I have ever felt to another human being
was in deep, profound sadness. Soul to soul.

The energy of sadness needs to move through you to
nourish your cells and feed your soul. If you deny or
exaggerate your sadness it will cause you serious problems
in the future. This is because the sad energy will get
stuck somewhere in your body and create stagnation.

If you depress or avoid your sadness you create mental,
emotional and physical problems.

Anxiety Missing? New Year Resolutions for Relaxation

See yourself at the end of 2008:

Looking in the mirror you see a difference between last and this year. You are proud of yourself and feel all warm inside because you have less anxiety.  You look much more relaxed.

You did take action and you got results. You feel good and look strong, happy and secure in the mirror.

You know you deserve to be strong, happy and secure.

Now it is the beginning of 2008:

If your physical body and emotional body do not reflect back to you
–a big difference from the body and emotions you had last year–
this means you are not becoming stronger.

Each year needs to be a step forward toward your purpose in life.

Self improvement is not permanent until your physical body reflects
changes in the mirror.

You may think you have changed, but if you cannot see a difference in
the mirror, the energy is not there. You must see your body
radiate out more love and light when you look in the mirror or
you have not changed.

In addition, you want to feel better, not just look better!

Take a loving look at yourself in the mirror.

Do not waste your precious life another moment in
mundaneness and ordinary consciousness.

You have innate talents, skills and abilities
which need to be used for the highest good.

If you are not using them, they are being wasted.

Emotional health is not achieved until your body relaxes to
allow more vibrant energy to flow though your flesh.

You are incarnate after all!

The way to get more juicy energy flowing
through your body is to let go of old, thought patterns,
false beliefs, projections and conditioned responses.

Then peak experiences and vibrant moments happen au natural.

Your body reveals the truth about your thoughts, feelings and emotions.
Your body does not have the ability to lie. Listen to
